Oh my gosh, I am totally a child of the ’70s and grew up on Sesame Street, and I love that China Glaze did a whole Sesame Street collection!!!! I did not love all the polishes I got, though, lol, you’ll see…
Let’s start with a gorgeous green polish, Free to Be Sesame! This wasn’t the Oscar the Grouch polish, but it could be!
This would be an amazing polish in a Christmas mani.
Way to go China Glaze, for a great glitter polish!!!
Next is the absolute dud of the collection, in my opinion, which was such a bummer as it was the Count’s polish, and I love the Count! This is called I Count Even. Gotta say, I do love the name though.
Would you believe this is 3 coats????? Is there even any color on my nails???? I did see Pampered Polishes use this as a base for an adorable mani- she used it as kind of a “color corrector” and it looks great, so that I guess is a way to use it! I’m inserting her video, it’s a great mani, maybe I’ll try to duplicate it!
So, that was such a bummer. On to Ernie Your Stripes!
A great Ernie polish! And a really pretty color, too. It was kind of sheer on the first coat, but after 3 coats it built up great (and I never mind 3 coats).
So of course we must watch the Rubber Ducky song!
On to Cookie Monster’s polish, Dat Color Dough! A gorgeous Cookie Monster colored microglitter! Just like Free to Be Sesame, but a beautiful blue.
And I love that my cap has Cookie Monster on it!
Super pretty, and great coverage too! I can’t remember if this was 2 or 3 coats, probably 3, but easy to work with. Seriously, this collection just makes me remember how much I love Sesame Street and how I watched it practically every single day as a little kid!
Fur Real Though is a beautiful hot pink crelly polish- I love this one! Not sure the character reference (if there is one), but boy oh boy, this one (and Monsterpiece) are definitely my faves of this collection (the pinks! Give me all the pinks!!)
I love China Glaze polishes like this, a very opaque crelly, they’re just a dream to apply for those of us who stress about cream polishes- it’s like cream polishes for dummies, lol.
Just a really great polish!
Then the Grover polish!! A deeeep blue microglitter, a gorgeous color. Much deeper and bluer than Dat Color Dough.
I did 3 coats, but could have gotten away with 2.
This would be a great background for some stamped snowflakes! Here’s some old school Super Grover from 1974!!!
And last but not least, Monsterpiece is the pink glitter (love all the glitters!!) of the collection!
Here’s Sesame Street’s Monsterpiece Theater- we watched Masterpiece Theater every Sunday with Alastair Cooke- so I loved Alastair Cookie!
One more of this beautiful pink glitter!
I liked all these polishes except for I Count Even- but probably Fur Real Though is my absolute fave.
Live your life with love in your heart and glitter on your nails!
