Colores de Carol is a kind of new brand to me- probably within the last 6 or so months, when I saw their polish Free Love and had to have it. It was an awesome polish, so I bought more Colores de Carols!!
Thermals have become kind of a thing lately in the nail polish world, and I like them a lot. I have a lot of free edge to my nails so I get good shifts. I got this polish, Azalea, and another one, Aviv.
I have also learned (at least for me) that once I paint them, I won’t get a great shift on them til the next day (I paint my nails at night 99% of the time). I’ve had a couple that I painted, then tried to force the thermal effect with hot/cold water right after, and it didn’t work- and then the next day were amazing. So now I just know for me, that’s how it works.
This is just not a flattering color on me. Also, it was hot as heck here (North Carolina) when I wore it, so it was hard to get it to transition and stay long enough in the cold state for a picture, lol, which is why I only have 2 pictures.
The formula was a little tough- though it looks like it, it’s not a true cream, there are some iridescent-ish flakies in there, but it acts like a cream, and that is scary. Also, I think that my pink isn’t as deep a pink as in the pictures I saw- here’s an example from Beaching Nails, and mine is so much lighter than this. This could be because of the extreme heat, though, so I will not hold this against Colores de Carol at all!
So this wasn’t my favorite polish, but I still like Colores de Carol, and will definitely try more!
Live your life with love in your heart and glitter on your nails!
