Happy Monday! Let’s look at some China Glaze and a comparison! First up, Cast a Spell.
A gorgeous olive green with gold shimmer, it’s super pretty!
The formula was great! I did only two coats, which is rare for me, lol.
This is from their 2012 Wicked Halloween collection. I don’t know if that collection is referring to the musical Wicked, but on a side note, Wicked is the only book that I just didn’t finish reading because I just really didn’t want to finish it it was so boring. LOL
The gold in this dark olive green is just so pretty! Really a great polish.
Now, let’s compare my super old bottle of China Glaze Don’t Let the Dead Bite (from the 2014 Apocalypse of Color collection). It’s kind of a mushy mess.
The glitters have definitely bled into the base it’s more of a pinky nude base. You can see the hex glitters and if you look super close you can see the bar glitters.
This is Moon Shin Mani’s Drop Dead Goregeous, the Project Dupe It polish.
A friend of mine on makeup alley said, and I agree, that the base should have been much pinker, and this also doesn’t have bar glitters. I do like this polish though!
Here’s the comparison. You can see how chunky and weird the China Glaze is, lol, just glitters dissolving with age I guess!
So not nearly dupes, but I like the Moon Shine Mani’s Halloween vibe, blood drops in flesh, lol. Live your life with love in your heart and glitter on your nails!
