Pink pink pink!!! My favorite nail polish color! I consulted my nail polish rack app, and I have 345 polish classified as pink, 76 classified as magenta and 43 classified as fuchsia (and 10 berries, which could be pinks…..). Lots of pictures ahead!
So I pulled out 4 random China Glaze pinks to try out, as in literally just grabbed 4 random bottles in the pink section of my China Glaze drawer! Here they are, starting with my least favorite, Exceptionally Gifted.
It’s a frosty, streaky mess, lol. I ~think~ this is from their 2011 Exceptionally Gifted collection, from what I can tell.
Sooo not pretty, very 60s vibe, but not in a good way. See all the brushstrokes?? This was 2 coats.
Next is Bodysuit Yourself from the Spring 2018 Chic Physique collection. I really liked this one, actually I liked all the rest of the pinks I chose!
This is a deep coraly pink with a sliiiight shimmer. Two super easy coats, perfect formula.
You can’t really see the shimmer, but it made the polish super easy to work with.
Now, here come the two super similar, super bright pinks! First up is You Drive Me Coconuts- a super bright mid tone pink from the Summer 2013 Sunsational collection.
It was a smidge streaky on 2 coats, so I did a 3rd- still a dark spot or two, but I max out at 3 coats, so I slapped some top coat on it, and it looks great!
And now for Hang Ten Toes, from the 2012 Neon summer collection.
Slightly darker than You Drive Me Coconuts (I’ll compare side by side in a minute).
If I had to pick one, this one would be my favorite- hot hot pink! One more because it’s so pretty!
So here is You Drive Me Coconuts on the left, Hang Ten Toes on the right.
You Drive Me Coconuts is slightly lighter and has a little more shimmer. The formula was better on Hang Ten Toes, too, I only had to do two coats and top coat.
So overall, 3 out of 4 hits isn’t bad! Exceptionally Gifted was a big bummer, but the others were great!
Live your life with love in your heat and glitter on your nails!
