I know it’s supposed to be a Try Them Tuesday, but I got a new laptop and have been figuring that out and missed Mainstream Mani Monday, so I wanted go finally get this post up!!
I picked up 4 from the OPI Fall Scotland collection from Polish Pick and wanted to share! First one is Nessie Plays Hide and Sea-k. This is such a pretty blue with a green shimmer!
I love the shimmer in this, I did 2 coats, and in the pictures you can pick out maybe a little VNL but it wasn’t apparent in real life.
This is Clash of the Tartans, it’s one of two excluive polishes (I’ll show you the other one soon!) from Sally’s and Ulta, though I did pick it up on Polish Pick.
It dries matte, so does the other one, and it was a nice easy formula. And of course I had to gloss it up!
The other exclusive polish is a blue matte polish, Nailed It by a Royal Mile
A gorgeous royal blue. Here it is matte.
And another glossy.
Then last but not least is Boys be Thistle-ing at Me, a plummy brownish shimmer, it’s super pretty.
I think OPI does these shades so well!
But it was funny- I got theses shades sometime in October, and I was pulling things out of my polish drawers to wear, and I went hunting for Every Month is Oktoberfest, and I pulled that out and realized it looked maybe similar to Boys be Thistling at Me, so I pulled out Vampsterdam and something else I can’t remember to see if any were close. I tried Oktoberfest and Thistle-ing and they weren’t as similar as I’d thought- but Vampsterdam is somewhat close.
Definitely not exact, Boys be Thistle-ing at Me is on my pointer and ring fingers and Vampsterdam is on my middle finger- Vampserdam has more of a red base and Thistle-ing is definitely more purple. But they’re pretty darn close. I of course need both, but a Muggle probably wouldn’t.
Overall I liked the ones I picked up of this collection, and I thought the matte finishes were cool.
Live your life with love in your heart and glitter on your nails!
Being Scottish, I want this whole collection!
