I am going to do a whole month of Halloween polishes for my Try Them Tuesday and Try More Thursday posts! I found a TON of Halloween polishes I have never worn, so now’s the chance!!
Great Lakes Lacquer did this polish, Creatures of the Night Brought to Light for August 2019 Polish Pickup (the theme was At the Carnival). Such a pretty multichrome!
It’s a great fall polish, the rusty maroon multichrome is so pretty!
And the amazing Great Lakes Lacquer formula. I did three coats.
See that copper shimmer??? Soooo pretty! Here’s a closeup!
Next is KB Shimmer Kiss and Spell. Let me tell you about this polish. I ~think~ this was one of my very first indie polish purchases years ago, and I never tried it because I found I wasn’t a fan of glitter toppers, they were too chunky for me. You know how even after 2 coats of qdtc they’re still bumpy? I hate that! Well, let me share the product that completely changed that for me- Painted Phalanges Smooth Phalanges! You put a nice layer over chunky glitters, let it dry for awhile and then apply your qdtc. And VIOLA!!! Smoothness!
I put this over just a white cream. No issues at all with glitter coming out.
The base is slightly green tinted- now thinking about it, it may be glow in the dark!
This is just one coat. I did a little bit of moving stuff around, but no “placement” at all.
Then Starrily Black Magic. A one coat black holo (though I did 2 coats).
It’s amazing. I love black polishes, and this is a great one!
Pretty holo rainbows!!! Such a dream to apply too!
One more picture!
I don’t know if my kids are going to go trick-or-treating this Halloween, everything is up in the air, but it is so fun to find all the Halloween polishes I haven’t worn and make October a celebration of them!
Live your life with love in your heart and glitter on your nails!
These are lovely. That topper, just wow!
