If you’re reading this before July 21, 2018, and you want these polishes, run (don’t walk!) to the Great Lakes Lacquer website (she’s shipping in the US for this Girly Bits polish, which is from Canada) and snap these babies up! These polishes were brought back for the Polish Pickup Rewind month of July.
First is the polish Girly Bits did for the February Polish Pickup- the theme was Sugar Rush, and their inspiration was Unicorn Bark! Yum! It’s called, “I Licked it, so it’s Mine.” I love that name, so funny!! It’s based on a candy called Unicorn Bark, and it’s such a good representation of that inspiration!
This polish!! See how it sparkles in the sunlight??? This is the description from the Great Lakes Lacquer website, “It’s a glowing light pink base with prismatic holo flakes that look like sugar crystals. There is a sweet golden glow and a violet shine, with added blue holographic glitter, and blue metallic flakes.”
I did 3 coats, plus 2 coats of top coat. It will probably be a huge pain to remove, but who cares? That’s what scrubby tubs are for! And I never mind the removal process when a polish is this gorgeous.
Even in lower crappy office lights, the shade of pink is soooo pretty, and the flakies add more interest to the polish.
Here’s a close up- not the best picture, but you can get the drift, lol.
And while you’re at the Great Lakes Lacquer website, you NEED Great Lakes Lacquer’s Glass on Fire. This polish was their January Polish Pickup polish, the theme was Crystals and Gemstones. This polish was inspired by the Dragon’s Breath Opal.
This is such a glowy, gorgeous, complex polish! It’s sooooo beautiful! I did 3 coats of this, just to build up the layers of flakies. You can definitely get away with 2 coats.
I love this color, it’s just an absolutely gorgeous polish.
This close up really shows the complexity of this polish.
You really do need these polishes- if you’re reading this before July 21, go get it!!! LOL
Live your life with love in your hearts and glitter on your nails!
