First I wore the Moonshine Mani polish, When Loved Ones Are Near. It’s part of a duo, the first polish is a glitter topper called Cardinals Appear. It’s so pretty! I wore this for my church’s Christmas Choir program, I’m the director and I wanted my nails to look Christmassy- this looks like crushed candy canes!

This was 2 coats, which is awesome when you don’t have to do a third coat to build up the base color.

There are larger hex and square glitters, and a ton of teeny tiny glitters. The other polish in the duo, Cardinals Appear, is this same glitter mix in a clear base to use as a topper.

Here’s a closeup.

Then my actual Christmas mani was Nine Zero Lacquer’s Fully Decked. The maker said she wanted to make a polish that looked like a Christmas tree fully decorated, and she totally nailed it!!!

Isn’t it gorgeous?? I love the holo sparkle!

Yes, hard to remove, but that’s what my scrubby tub is for! I did 3 coats.
And for New Year’s Eve (which I spent doing my nails and drinking sparkling cider with DH and the kids) I found an AMAZING black holo, Baby from Nine Zero Lacquer. Accent nail is Painted Polish Summer Sparkler.

I am a goth chick at heart, I love love love black polish and have been looking for a great black holo for literally years, and Baby might just be it.

This is the holo just under my light box lights. So Nine Zero formulas tend to be super thick, so I applied this and realized it needed to be thinned. So I got out my Orly thinner (because it doesn’t dissolve glitter), and proceeded to add way too much thinner, and I was so stressed that I’d ruined it! Plus, when I screwed on the top to shake it, the thinner overflowed (as I said, I’d added too much!). But I persevered and shook and kind of got a little thinner out (by it overflowing, lol) and it’s awesome!

I did end up doing 3 coats, but I could have gotten away with 2 if I hadn’t overthinned it. It wasn’t too lumpy bumpy, it’s so gorgeous.
Here’s a closeup of Summer Sparkler by Painted Polish which is just holo bar glitter- I did 3 coats for full opacity- it would also be an awesome topper, I love this polish too!
Live your life with love in your heart and glitter on your nails!
