This Rainbow Brights Shimmers collection came out in 2015 (and I think was re-released in 2016 maybe? I bought the whole collection and never wore them! So here they are. They are still on their website, Fair Maiden Polish, and I highly recommend them!
The red is Daring.
Neon red can be hard to do, I like this, but honestly I haven’t found a neon red I truly love. I think maybe I’m being too picky, lol.
And they all have the pretty shimmer.
So then I tried the orange neon, Flirty. When I put it on, I wasn’t wowed, then I remembered the trick of putting neons over a white base to make them “pop,” so I thought I’d try that.
So the picture above does not have a white base, and I feel like it’s not really super neon. The pictures below, the one on the left has no white base, the one on the right is over a white base- and I feel like the white base made a big difference with this orange.
So then I tried the yellow, Happy.
This is over a white base. I haven’t mentioned it yet, but I HATE putting things over a white base, I feel like the white can peek out around the cuticle and it can look weird, and I have to be sooo careful with how I paint over the white.
This picture is comparing it on it’s own (on the bottom finger) and over white (top finger)- as you can see, really no difference.
And I really love this bright yellow! The formula wasn’t crummy, 3 coats and not streaky at all. So it’s nice that it doesn’t really need the white.
Now to green! Mischievious!
Since the yellow didn’t need a white base, I decided to not bother with it for the green. It did pretty good on 3 coats. It may need a white base coat, but ain’t nobody got time for that! LOL
This is nice and neon-y!
Again with the 3 coats, such pretty shimmer!
Now for the blue! This is Hyper.
It’s a nice bright blue, no undies.
The purple, Shy- not as bright as I personally would love, but still super pretty.
And the shimmer, like all the polishes have, and same great formula- 3 coats as well.
And then the pink! This is Playful.
It’s very pretty, but I would have loved it even brighter, lol. You can see that it tends towards coral in certain lighting.
I think this is the first full collection of polishes I ever bought. I really do like Fair Maiden polishes!
