Okay! It’s Indie Nail Polish Favorites time! And just for an overview, in 2022 I bought 441 polishes (both indie and mainstream, but mostly indies). I’ll give you my most favorite polish first, then the others are in no particular order!
My most favorite indie polish of 2021—–was NOT a pink! Can you believe it??? It’s Cirque Black Magic! I’ve been looking for a black jelly with flakies that had an opaque enough base but the flakies still popped- and Black Magic nailed it!
Three coats of easy formula.
I just love how the flakies just really shine through the base- and the base isn’t sheer or patchy.
So the next polishes are in no particular order! I loved Fancy Gloss Just Be Happy- a pink and purple thermal!
The transition is easy and I am just such a fan of pink and purple transitions.
I do three coats of thermals just because, lol.
And I just love how the flakies glow pink through the purple base! This polish did make me feel happy, lol.
Then on to Illyrian Sakura. This is just such a pretty pink polish, and Illyrian didn’t do many pinks! Illyrian isn’t making polish anymore, but I love the ones I have.
And the holo is so pretty in this polish!
It has a tint of coral about it that I just think is so pretty!
Nine Zero Lacquer’s Snitches get Stitches- a great crelly with fun Animal Crossing inspo!
Nine Zero does the best crellies, I love how fun this mix of glitter is. I did three coats because I always do. And the maker, Jess, has come back to at least doing YouTube review videos- and hopefully will be back to making polish!- after having a baby and moving.
A good crelly just makes me so happy!!
Necessary Evil (now Paradox Polish) Zero Stones Zero Crates is a beautiful thermal polish. I’ve had it so long, and finally wore it (a recurring theme).
I love the shade of maroony-brown-taupe with the gorgeous flakies shining through- and the transition was amazing.
With that purple shimmer! I did three coats.
Atomic Polish Silicate totally made the faves for 2021- check this gorgeous polish out!
Just gorgeous bright, summery coral- I love this polish!
The shimmer is beautiful, the formula is beautiful, the color is beautiful!
Supernatural 5th Dimension is such a beautiful polish!
A beautiful red leaning purple with some scattered flakies!
Unfortunately, Supernatural isn’t making polish anymore (maybe PPU or HHC- I can’t remember). I really have enjoyed her polishes!
Pahlish Hello Kitty was the polish I wore on my family beach vacay this past summer! The rules for what I wear on vacation- it has to be hot pink, and it has to wear like iron- and boy, did Hello Kitty deliver!
The formula is great- sometimes these polishes with lots of flakies can be super thick and unruly, but this wasn’t at all.
And it wore wonderfully! I had barely any tipwear at almost a week- and at the beach with sand and salt water!
I wore Femme Fatale’s Horrorland during October, and it’s just gorgeous!
So so pretty! I love this color and the flakies in it!

Here is Emily de Molly Eurotrip- a gorgeous hot pink!
A super pretty pink with purpley flakies.
I love how the flakies are purple and and gold and how well they shine through the base.
Then Glisten and Glow Truly Outrageous. A purple crelly with pink glitters? Yes. All the yes.
Three easy coats. Sooooo pretty.
Tons of glitter, beautiful blue leaning purple, I love it!
Danglefoot the Pink Danglie. I got this in a group by for Danglefoot, as it’s a UK brand.
Hot pink shimmery holo will always have my heart. Always.
The formula was great, the color is beautiful, the shimmer is amazing.
Another Necessary Evil (now Paradox Polish) polish, Sugar Skulls- another glitter crelly. Yep. Another one.
Hot pink base with fun color glitter! And a great formula!
And I love the different sizes of glitter, so much fun!
Just a big fan. Of course, that’s why it’s in my favorites!
Rogue Lacquer the Sky is Falling is soooo pretty. The soft blue base with the rainbow flakies!
Just so pretty, and the formula was great.
I just love it when the flakies really shine through the base, and this color combo really is my jam.
This green! Polish Me Silly Glow Worm!
Three coats- here it is in the sun
I love these neon greens. Three coats.
Potion Polish Knit Sweater definitely made this list! Another crelly, with small glitters in a beautiful gray base.
For some weird reason, I only have 2 pictures of it, but at least it’s a close up!
Ethereal Lacquer Perifrost- stuff is going on with Ethereal, but I still love the polishes.
Because look at that pink shimmer in the periwinkle purpley base. Just look!
Just a delicate polish that isn’t sheer (three coats). Absolutely beautiful.
Last but not least, a thermal by Femme Fatale, Rembrandt Tulips. I had to have this. I can’t remember if this is the warm or cool state, but I love this color.
Here are the two states of this thermal. I love the little purple flakies in this base color.
This polish really transitioned well, too.
